Back to School

Back in 2008, I went to school & obtained my massage certification. I didn't know it at the time, but Pennsylvania would be passing a licensing law for Massage Therapist & it would go into effect in 2011. I didn't get grandfathered in & would have had to go back to school. At the time my son was 6 & it didn't seem feasible to go back to school, so I stopped all together.

Fast forward to 2023. I kept feeling called to go back to school for massage.

I thought I was crazy for thinking this so many times. I doubted this pull I felt inside of me. People would think I'm crazy right?!

I decided to take the plunge & went back to school full time in 2024.

It was scary, exciting & yet felt so right all at once.

With each class, I felt like I was meant to be doing this.

With each test, I studied harder than the last, because as school went on, the content got harder.

By March 2025 I completed Massage School with grades that even impressed myself.

The hard work & dedication paid off.

Next step? Taking the MBLEx (license exam).

I studied day & night until I thought I would be ready for it.

I finally scheduled it for April 1st (Yes, April Fools Day).

The nerves were in full force that day.

The doubts came pouring in as I drove to take the exam.

I completed my exam and saw the PASS on the screen & instantly started crying.

It was such a relief.

The reality of becoming a LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST was coming to reality. Here I am today, massaging, still learning & still growing. Loving being a Massage Therapist & helping others.
